I think we should have an "In Memoriam" page on the website.
I sent an email to the Franklin Alumni office last week asking
for this exact information. There is a company "Harris Connect"
that puts out these Alumni Directories each year, and there is
one for Franklin, naturally. I have the 2006 edition. It has
address information and some other data (if you mailed them a
response card) but I can't just copy this data into our website
because it is "proprietary". They have two kinds of marks their
their directory: "*": Address Unconfirmed, "**": Status Unknown.
However, they only seem to use the Status Unknown flag when
they know someone is dead. I think maybe the don't want to
say that's what the mark is for because they don't want to be
wrong.
Here are the "Status Unknown" people from FHS 1987:
Anderson, Robert F.
Cardenas, Christine C.
Fisher, Robert W.
Oliver, Harvey, Jr.
The didn't seem to know about Scott Bonnici, is still listed
as "Address Unconfirmed" in this edition.
I thought maybe the Alumni Office had official records on this
but maybe they don't. Hopefully they get back to me next week.
Regardless, I think that's a good point and we definitely
want to have some kind of In Memoriam page.
Hm. The problem is I'm not all that good at "tasteful". So if
anyone has ideas for this page... lemme know...
